ALI Hoist Inspections

ALI Certified Auto Hoist Inspections

The ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program provides third-party assurance that the certified lift inspector has been tested and proven competent to thoroughly inspect any installed vehicle lift and report on its suitability for continued use and/or the need for maintenance or repair. At the conclusion of the inspection, the ALI-certified lift inspector will provide a written inspection certificate for each lift and will affix an ALI Annual Lift Inspection Label to each lift that passes.

There's more riding on your vehicle lifts than cars and trucks. The safety and security of your employees, customers, and businesses are riding on them, too. With so much depending on your lifts, it is crucial that they are properly maintained and inspected regularly to ensure proper performance. In fact, the ANSI national standard governing lift operation, inspection, and maintenance, ANSI/ALI ALUM (current edition) mandates that every lift be inspected at least annually by a "qualified lift inspector.”

In order to participate in the ALI Lift Inspector Certification Program, companies must meet rigorous standards for quality assurance and agree to abide by a strict code of ethics. Individual inspectors must pass two exams administered by a professional testing agency. They also must properly perform 12 practical experience inspections to demonstrate that they are qualified to inspect any lift, regardless of manufacturer.

ALI-certified lift inspectors have been trained to follow the industry’s best practices to thoroughly inspect any brand, model, and type of vehicle lift to determine if it is suitable for continued use or if maintenance or repair is needed. They follow a standard inspection format with documentation that has been developed and approved for all lifts.

At the conclusion of the inspection, the ALI-certified lift inspector will provide a written inspection certificate for each lift and will affix an ALL Annual Lift Inspection Label to each lift that passes. Only ALI-certified lift inspectors are authorized to use these labels, which clearly identify the date of inspection and the individual ID number of the inspector.

When you hire an ALI-certified lift inspector, you get more than a qualified lift inspector. You get the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your lifts are being inspected by a true professional.
